Steward of the Land
My Dad was 80 when I took the reference photo that stayed in the back of my mind until I could draw it. He had just finished chopping holes in pond ice so his cows could drink on a bitterly cold day. His world was full of work, uncertain weather, taking care of the land and livestock no matter how cold it was or how he felt. He loved it all anyway, and never wanted to do anything else.
